Vilnius is the capital of the Republic of Lithuania and the largest administrative centre in Lithuania with all major political, economic, social and cultural centres.
Vilnius has been awarded the title of European Capital of Culture 2009 and it has also become a gateway to the country that is celebrating the Millennium anniversary of the first written mention.

Klaipeda

Klaipėda is a city in Lithuania situated at the mouth of the Curonian Lagoon where it flows into the Baltic Sea. As Lithuania's only seaport, it has ferry terminal connections to Sweden and Germany. Some of its older buildings have picturesque half-timbered construction, similar to that found in Germany, France, England, Denmark and southern Sweden. Popular seaside resorts found close to Klaipėda are Nida to the south on the Curonian Spit, and Palanga to the north.

Šiauliai is the fourth largest city in Lithuania, with a population of 129,075. It is the capital of Šiauliai County. Unofficially, the city is the capital of Northern Lithuania. It is served by Siauliai International Airport.Along with Lithuania’s growth and integration into the European Union, the city has been making a successful transition into a commercial centre. The Municipality of Šiauliai seeks to foster actively business connections and therefore co-operation through town twinning is intensive and diverse.

Panevezys
