The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts

The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts is an independent non-governmental business self-management institution. Members of the Chamber can be enterprises of all types registered in the national center of registers and physical persons having permits for developing commercial and economical activities in Kaunas and Marijampolė Counties issued according to the procedure provided in laws. The functions delegated by the state: Organization of professional training; organization of qualifying examinations.

At the Chamber, Enteprise Europe Network, the largest business promotion network of the world, was established and is supported by EU. The network was established on the initiative of the European Commission, it operates in Europe and out of it (involving 40 states); it unites over 500 organizations that render business promotion services to local enterprises.

Lithuanian Apparel and Textile Industry Association joins together 128 joint-stock companies and private firms of textile, clothing, leather, fur and footwear as well as other light industry production and services enterprises. This is one of the key industrial branches of the country that influences very much the macroeconomic stability of the country.
